portfolioAs the Creative Marketing Specialist at Stellar Industries, Inc., I have built ever further upon an existing foundation of graphic design and visual communication expertise. I am responsible for all internal graphic design content and the design and management of both our literature and advertising designs. As a part of the marketing team, I am also heavily involved in marketing decisions and campaign strategies for future content; to maintain an understanding of our company's products and innovations, I also work very closely with both product management and engineering.
Recently, I have adopted the job requirements of previous employees as we transition into working with an outside agency to coordinate future efforts. Because of this shift in roles, I have taken on more aspects of marketing, including learning the application Marketo to assist in optimization of leads, email distribution, and more. Through my degree from Iowa State University, I have acquired knowledge ranging from visual design to application of physiology and genetics. Biological/Pre-Medical Illustration also encouraged the understanding of good communication and interpretation of the vision for a project. The majority of my time working on my degree focused on digital and 3D artwork, however, experience with traditional forms of illustration, including pen and ink and colored pencil, were required to establish a broad range of skills to apply in future projects. |

traditional work
At Iowa State University, I had the opportunity to experience a broad range of traditional mediums, including graphite, colored pencil, water color, pen and ink, and more. These projects taught us to not only focus on the subject, but also the underlying form.

digital work
During my time at Iowa State University, I discovered that my passion for art is centered primarily around digital media, including 3D modeling, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I became proficient with these and similar programs during my studies and have used that knowledge to further develop my talents.

rendering
The Biological/Pre-Medical Illustration program requires coursework covering multiple digital programs including the Adobe Creative Cloud and Cinema4D. These course often require working with multiple programs to create a final product, as seen from these animations that combined Cinema4D and AfterEffects.

client work
I worked as the scientfic illustrator for both HASHEMI LAB and Montazami ADVANCED MATERIALS Lab on campus at Iowa State University, and provided illustrations for numerous articles including graphical abstracts, diagrams, etc. I worked closely with researchers to understand the goal of the illustration in describing their research.
